I don't know how it works on other manufacturers, but on Samsung devices we have the "modes and routines" settings and there we can make the phone enable some in-app setting when we enable that routine or mode.
But for applock we don't have an option there to enable/disable.
It would be nice to have this option for when we enable a mode/routine it automatically enables/disables applock.
For now the only option is to "open an app" so it opens the app lock.
