As a Team Member,
I want to notify the system when I am on leave and have a backup cover contact assigned for last-minute changes,
So that the rota can be updated quickly and someone else knows they need to cover my slot.
Key Features
I can easily notify the team or system that I will be on leave (for a specific day, multiple days, or a date range).
When I mark myself as unavailable, the system prompts for or allows me to suggest a backup cover person.
When viewing the rota, it is clear who has a backup assigned and who that person is.
Last-minute changes (such as someone calling in sick) can be handled quickly by reassigning or confirming a backup cover.
The rota automatically reflects leave and backup cover information so everyone sees the most up-to-date schedule.
Administrators can also add or update leave and backup cover details on behalf of the team.
This will help reduce gaps in the schedule and make it easier to handle unexpected absences.
