I'm glad to announce the first public release of the Italian Foundation Library v0.1.0, which can now be seen in the repository folder alan_it/.
This initial release integrates all the newly added features of the latest English Library v0.2.3.
For me being able to now develop the library on the repository offers multiple advantages in terms of integrating new features from the English reference library.
Also, now that the Spanish library has advanced so much in its maturity state, and it also being en par with the English reference library, there's much to gain for me and @Rich15 by being able to cross reference the Spanish and Italian libraries, which share a great deal of common features (basically all, except for apostrophe elisions, which are not found in Spanish).
So I hope that now that the Italian Beta has been added to the repository this might also speed up the Spanish and Italian development, since both libraries are about to face various common grammatical challenges regarding entities initializations and Pronouns, and other advanced stuff.
I'm really glad to see the original ALAN Library being revived, along with its old pALANte incarnation — so much work went into them that it would have been a real pity to see them going obsolete due to their not being up to date with all the new ALAN features of the past decade.
I was really hoping to be able to also include the German port of the library which had been attempted in the past. Probably today it would have been possible to make it work, but without access to the translated sources we might never know.
