It's currently set up to bake out a categorical legend. It would be nice if it could make a legend and color by a value. Possibly specifying the structure of the legend value would be a nice way to do this or a setting called type or something but it would nice if it could infer from the legend since we're getting into a lot of things that need to be specified now.
