resolve slugs vs ids

Can we hide the id behind the slug so it's more human interpretable?

i don't think we can choose human named slugs solution alone. we'll have to have UUID for each item, and then they may have a human readable alias. so to have a human interpretable URI we must have a UUID otherwise we are cruising for database problems

addition: every product may have an id and slug. all products must have an ID. all products do not require a slug.
