Naming the main components in semantic querying

There are three main components in the semantic querying process implemented by semantique:

• The query recipe contains the instructions for inference of new knowledge, using real-world domain terminology
• The factbase contains the raw data layers possibly enriched by automatically inferred information layers.
• The ontology contains rulesets that define real-world semantic concepts in terms of the data and information layers in the factbase, i.e. how are they represented by the data? In that way it serves as a mapping between the real-world domain and the (enriched) image domain.

These names are still open for discussion. Especially ontology, since our usage of this term might be a bit away from its original scope and therefore annoy purists.

This is the place where we can openly discuss these naming issues!
