Remoko doesn't work on Om2008.8-upgrade

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install Remoko on 2008.8-update
2. run /usr/bin/remoko
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect it to work; but i get:
root@om-gta02:~# DISPLAY=:0 /usr/bin/remoko
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/share/remoko/remoko/remoko", line 37, in <module>
    from optparse import OptionParser
ImportError: No module named optparse


What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
remoko 0.3, neo freerunner gta02v5
