Huge of small end user applications using MS/Office exists. These users mainly in banking/Insurrance... dont have a deep knowledge on computing such as JScript, PHP, Python,.... So, VBA is an easy tool to develop these "small" tools.
Sometimes these small tools "end user made" grow outside computing department and become a true organizational computing essential for company.
I remember three exemples without names of companies:
- Day to day real time pricing depending of market of currencies and materials over world of well known French fashion industry
- Carve-out of VERY BIG French transportation for ledgers
- Transfert and space planning for a bank for 3000 employees
- ... others
These VBA applicationswas used simultaneous by 5 to 12 employees.
I read on github the right and very well jscript library ISO. The idea would be to translate this jscript library to Python to be used in MS environnement ?
