On Intro to python we have recently had several people asking us to confirm their attendance as our course counts towards their progression on programmes like DTP. We should have in place a system where we can actually check they attended before confirming. My suggested process:
Online courses
- Check the attendance report on the Teams meeting after the training- this tells you everyone who was in the meeting and how long they were there for. Only the person who made the calendar event can check this
- For anyone who requests it (or just everyone who attended), mark them as attended on the training catalogue. If they only attended part of the course, use your judgement
In-Person courses
- Pass round a sign-in sheet (and put a box on for people to say if they need attendance confirming?)
- For anyone who requests it (or just everyone who attended), mark them as attended on the training catalogue. If they only attended part of the course, use your judgement
- Destroy the sign-in sheet after an appropriate period of time
(@SJaffa I've made this as in progress, I'd say it's probably review required at this stage?)
