I'd love to help with it! The only thing is that my bandwidth is a bit limited at the moment since I'm working a 9-to-5 job, so if I take this on, it'll probably take me a little while to finish.

Also, I noticed that Tiptap (which Edra is based on) is close to releasing official Svelte integration. We have two options: either wait for their release and build on top of it, or move forward now and port everything over later once it's available.

Glad to see the momentum.

No rush—I have a full-time job too, and it is quite demanding.
Open source is what enlights my day - I work on it at night to get my brain and fingers busy.

Regarding TipTap, well this is an excellent news - I just hope the the plugins will be cross platform.

As far as the strategy forward, obviously building on the official would be a better option.
How mature is the code?
How much re-work?
What is the expected delivery date?

Since the official extension of tiptap for svelte is almost mature, we can just use the code from their repo branch for now (It's open source and under MIT), and when it's merged, we'll just use the NPM package.

That could be a better approach.

How mature is the code?
It's quite good, just need a few refinement. There's a bug for SSR in official extension, quite simple to fix, to be honest.

How much re-work?
Removing our packages and migrate to official one. Not too much. Just few hours refactors.

What is the expected delivery date?
That's unknown. I didn't find it. If only I worked in tiptap, I'd have it on priority. 🤣

I am planning to release my project sometime this week.
it is not 100% complete, but I will have the place holders ready for the 'rich-text' component.
