Multiple Ghost instances on the same database server

If I wanted to run multiple Ghost sites, the natural approach would be to use the same database server, but different database names.
I tried this configuration, however the stack seems to insist on the database ghost.

Is the database name hardcoded somewhere, or I am missing something else?

I run multiple Ghost sites with containers on the same server, sharing the same database server. It's working well.
