make cpu error

It happens when I make the CPU feature tools.
I downloaded the exact versions of protobuf and hdf5 as in the INSTALL but make gave error like this:
convnet_config.pb.h:17:2: error: #error This file was generated by an older version of protoc which is
convnet_config.pb.h:18:2: error: #error incompatible with your Protocol Buffer headers. Please
convnet_config.pb.h:19:2: error: #error regenerate this file with a newer version of protoc.

Please help.

• Remove all of your convnet_config.pb.h and convnet_config.pb.cc from your local copy. Let than "make" regenerate them or regenerate tham manually.

Thanks. I "make clean"ed the cpu dir and it didn't help. And how does the cmake version work? I made a "build" dir and generated the cmake files into it. But "make" in the "build" dir didn't work.

In the source dir four steps:

1. mkdir build
2. cd build
3. cmake ../
4. make

Thats all.
