[TRACKING] Species Porting

General issue for tracking the porting of species / other related things. One of the things people stressed in a thread about the Den Rebase is that it's really important to have these because people's characters are built on these and also it'll make the transition smoother from normal den to Rebase Den.

I (or someone else) should or will go back and grab PR numbers so this job is easier for people to do. Contact me or edit this post (if you have that ability) if you want to help out with this list.

• Arachne (Port from Nyanotrasen - most of the fixes to them are under EE, so you will have to do these again.)
• Arachnid (Comes with Wizden)
• Canid (Den-exclusive species.)
• Chitinid ( Chitinid DeltaV-Station/Delta-v#2707 ) in progress Bugz (Chitinids) #114

• Diona (Comes with Wizden)
• Felinid (Could probably get away with porting RMC felinids and then adding relevant traits / markings to them, as those are MIT.)
• Feroxi ( Shark Race - Feroxi DeltaV-Station/Delta-v#1669 )

• Harpy ( Harpies were the child lost in the divorce between DV and EE - it is worth it to not port them and rebuild them from the ground up like IPC / plasmamen because AGPL.)
• Human (Comes with Wizden, but the extra markings on them are another, more convoluted story.)
• IPC (From a spanish fork and then from EE - have to be completely recoded.)
• Kitsune ( Kitsune DeltaV-Station/Delta-v#3175 )

• Moths (Comes with Wizden)
• Oni (Port from Nyanotrasen, most improvements made to them post-AGPL belong to EE, so oni-related backend systems will need a re-code implying those exist)
• Ovinia (Port from Den) in progress [DEN Port] Ovinia! (Species) syndicate-ss14/macrocosm#21
• Plasmamen (EE species. Needs to be completely remade, most likely.)
• Resomi / Avali (Starlight or CD.)
• Rodentia ( Rodentia Species DeltaV-Station/Delta-v#1511 )

• Shadowkin (Starlight implementation, have not found the PR number yet.)
• Slime Person (Comes with Wizden, things like markings for it and Geras are all over the place so go looking for those.)
• Tajaran (Pretty sure this is an EE species, likely they need to be completely remade.)
• Thaven (Impstation species - starlight port exists: Thaven ss14Starlight/space-station-14#1440 .)
• Unathi (Comes with Wizden, not under that name, so that has to be redone alongside any additional markings.)
• Vox (Pretty sure these come with Wizden.)
• Vulpkanin ( Being worked on, [SPECIES] Vulpkanin #13 )

Other options for species porting that do not exist yet here:

• Skrell (RMC port, need to code in languages and features but they exist out there. Hi, I am the guy doing work for Skrell over there currently. Ask me for a PR number.)
• Avali (Cosmatic Drift / Starlight Port.)
• Felionoids (Tajaran at home, Starlight)

It's come to my attention that Starlight is an MIT licensed server (with an additional modified MIT license), and Shadekin were ported from SS13 to Starlight.

Might be good to ditch the Floof/Parkstation implementation (As much as I love the ethereal system) and rotate to Starlight's version, reworking the species from there to include all of the unique features and functionality that players have gotten accustomed to.

In addition to Shadekin, Starlight has Resomi, Avali, Thaven, and Felionoids (Tajarin at home).

Outside of species, Starlight has a lot of features that Denizens like, such as records, height and width sliders, custom species names, custom examines, languages, and a bunch of other stuff.

(P.S.) Also dignitaries, I forgot about those.

I'm pretty sure this PR alone is MIT because it's before Delta got the AGPL license, but I am not sure of other Harpy features. Flight, parts of HarpySinger, you're gonna have to check.)

We're probably going to need to redo harpies and err on the safe side and say they're not portable due to AGPL

Edited to reflect that, this is the situation with Harpies.

Canid can be ported over by Fox/Me (would just need to ask fox for permission, cause I leave candids in fox's hands)

As I'll also probably port over Feroxi myself (cause they're my babies) along with markings from RMC when they are finished

It's unlikely Canid would be a separate species.
