strspecial issue?

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong here?

I believe one of the problems is that when strspecial parses the string "C:\Users\Frank\Documents\Robot_Projects\my_vision_robot\firmware\teensy_main\obj\ARM\Debug\nCOM Port"

it interprets the '\t' in "...firmware\teensy_main" as a TAB instruction.

but I'm not sure why the '\n' in "...\Debug\nCOM Port" isn't interpreted as a newline command.

Why don't you try changing the variable you're passing to the strspecial command?
