FD can't find any files in the FNF file directory when building, so it skips the files

every single mod I've installed always says "Couldn't find (insert file here) in (insert file directory here), skipping..."

anyone have any ideas on what is wrong? it's fairly common since lots of the bug reports are the same thing, so it might be a bug in the most recent version of fd, but it could be anything else
