Hex data over UART not transmited by SC16IS752

Hello,

With the library, it works fine, thanks a lot, if the UART data are ASCII. However, when the UART data are Hexa, I do not receive anything via the I2C bus. There is something to change in the "I2C_receive" example or in the SC16IS752.h itself? Thank you in advance for any info.

Can you give a bit more context here?
What do you mean by "Hexa" data?
Do you mean a string like "1234DEADBEEF", which is just a string.
Or do you mean binary data?
And also how is the data fed? What kind of C++ object holds the data?
What function do you call to send the data?

Hi, Thank you for your prompt answer. I am using gaz sensors that are sending Hex data over UART bus. A typical set of data is: Over an UART bus, I do not have any problem reading it. However, as I cannot use the UART line, and because I have two sensors, I have to use I2C line, and then SC16IS752. I am not very familiar with C++ but I did some tests yesterday, and it appears that using your example, "I2C_RECEIVE", if a sensor is connected to the B port, the only processed lines are always :  } else {      buffer_B[index_B++] = c;      buffer_B[index_B] = 0;    } Never: else if (c == 0x0a) {      Serial.print("Channel B=[");      Serial.print(buffer_B);      Serial.println("]");      index_B = 0; So, even if the hexabytes are read, "Index_B" is never initialised and is then averflooded.
