Can you elaborate about how to use Interrupt with an example?

Hi,

I appreciate for this unique library for SC16IS75x family. I am already using it with Rpi and ESP32.
Now, I need to also experience the usage of IRQ pin. I noticed that a user (@szerwi) has already implemented/adapted the functionality in this library while back. However, any example code shows how to use it. Would you please provide us with some working example for it? Particularly for ESP32 devices and UART interrupt, not GPIO?

I have not used this interrupt functionality myself.
But just looking at the code and the datasheet, it seems that you can set per GPIO pin (GPIO [7...0]) on the SC16IS752 which will trigger the IRQ pin when either one of them has changed.
So per GPIO pin (on this chip, not on the ESP) you can enable/disable whether it should trigger the interrupt when that pin's state changes.
