Hi, I'm glad to see another Nix user. There was a SnapX Flake, however, the package maintainer never got it working. https://github.com/not-a-cowfr/snapx-flake/tree/main

There have also been other requests to add SnapX to nixpkgs NixOS/nixpkgs#382956

You should be able to build off of not-a-cowfr's example and finish what they could not. Otherwise, this is a tracking issue :p

Alright, just keep in mind some improvements could be made. We now keep track of all of SnapX's dependencies and their nupkg sha256 for Flatpak here

You should be able to generate a deps.json file from these relatively easily using jq. They are auto updated by our CI.

well issue is these files u linked uses sha512 and not sha256, so sadly i can't just use these in the deps.json file

Oops... It should be enough to construct a sha256, though, with the package name and URL to it. Sorry for misleading you. I need more coffee. Where does this deps.json file come from? https://nixos.wiki/wiki/Nix_Hash says it supports sha512

Ok so i experimented a bit (using source from tag v0.4.0), i can generate the deps.json file by running dotnet restore --packages out followed by nuget-to-json out > deps.json, which works but then once i try to build the package i get this error:

apparently it's cuz a dep is doubled for some reasons ? removing it from deps.json manually fixes it, but there's gotta be a better way (if this even is the way to go)

i think these deps are avaible but it expects them to be at version 9.0.13, while the ones available are at 10.0.3, prolly cuz im using dotnet 10, tho correct me if im wrong but snapx requires dotnet 10 right ?

i also tried running nix-build -A package.fetch-deps but it keeps returning me error: attribute 'package' in selection path 'package.fetch-deps' not found, not sure what to do here cuz the nix documentation doesn't tell anything more abt it

Yes, SnapX does require .NET 10.

That is not how you use that command, and I don't think it'll be useful here. I'm not sure tho.

Pretty sure it doesn't.

Are you sure that you're using .NET 10?

yea im using .NET 10, ik the flake was using .NET 9 but i made sure to change it to 10

so like any idea of what could be these dependencies issue?
