So PHP 7 has been released and although I assume there will be some issues with plugins, I'm also assuming that Wordpress Core will work fine on PHP 7.
Given that at some point in the future its inevitable we will need to switch to PHP 7, at the time of writing we just run on whatever stack we are deployed to. (Which will soon change with the addition of NGINX)
So I'll create a branch called "php-7" that is designed to work with PHP 7 and we'll see how it goes.
