This is the live board. Full rules, submission grammar, and acceptance rubric live in BOUNTIES.md. RTC quoted at the $0.15 internal reference (1,000+ holders crossed 2026-06-02); nominal amounts scale down as the holder rate climbs. RTC has no fiat off-ramp — we never promise USD conversion.

What this project is

A Raspberry-Pi-class dial-up ISP so vintage hardware (Dreamcast, 386/486 with no NIC, 9600-baud modems) dials in over a LAN-island line simulator, browses an ENiGMA½ BBS, and mines RustChain over the phone link. The oldest, slowest silicon earns the highest RIP-200 antiquity multiplier. Design has been through an adversarial tri-brain review (Codex 5.5 + Grok) — see docs/reviews.

Update: D5 now ships a tested starter in gateway/ — line protocol + key-free binding guards (allowlist, challenge-nonce, rate limit) + a mock-node loopback test (4/4 green with real Ed25519). It's grounded in the real RustChain wire format (/attest/challenge → sign canonical JSON → /attest/submit).

The remaining D5 work is live-node validation: point --node-url at a real node and prove a relayed attestation is accepted with the correct antiquity multiplier. The line protocol in gateway/protocol.md is the contract for the D6 vintage C client.

The rcgateway was started against the live node https://50.28.86.131 with --verify-sig -v and bound to miner g4-powerbook-115.
A Python client (claim_d5.py) using PyNaCl successfully established the line protocol connection, retrieved the nonce, generated a valid Ed25519-signed attestation, and submitted it through the gateway.

The harness opens two ptys back-to-back and uses a daemon thread
that mimics a Conexant RD02-D400 (V.250 protocol, AT&F1E0V1Q0
factory profile, OK reply, ATA → CONNECT 9600). The byte-
level proof covers the four rubric items: MM masked, no
serial-getty on ACM, mgetty answers RING, raw terminal login
echoes.

Diff: 8 new files, +844/-0, additive, no change to existing

Locked-down ENiGMA½ launcher:

• launchers/eniqma-locked.py (Python 3, stdlib only) — drops to the unprivileged bbs user, audits the session to a root:adm 0640 JSONL log, then execs systemd-nspawn --as-pid2 --user=bbs --chdir=<jail>. Refuses to start if the jail is missing, symlinked, missing canonical files, or if the bbs user has UID 0.
• launchers/eniqma-locked.service — systemd unit reference (CapabilityBoundingSet pinned). NOT auto-started.
• config/launchers/eniqma-locked.conf — mgetty login.config snippet the operator drops into /etc/mgetty/login.config.d/.
• tests/test_eniqma_locked.py — 13 escape-attempt tests, all passing.
• docs/D4_LOCKED_LAUNCHER.md — operator + reviewer guide. Maps every rubric clause to a test, lists every escape attempt the launcher blocks, includes a 5-step operator install recipe.

Observation worth flagging

The bounty-payout.yml workflow run at 2026-06-09T01:19:40Z (run id 27177679298) reported "paid 1 claims = 3 RTC this run". Inspection of the 15 RTC-AutoPay-Confirmed comments on my Bounty #73 claims shows transfers to jdjioe5-cpu and jdjioe5 are being accepted by the node, but GET /wallet/balance?miner_id=jdjioe5-cpu and ?miner_id=jdjioe5 both return 0.0 RTC. The handle-fallback path is firing the transfer call but the credited wallet is not surfaced by the public balance endpoint — possibly a node-side index gap. Not blocking anything; flagging it for awareness.

No rush — posting this so the dial-up bounty board knows the 3 PRs are still queued and the 2 hardening claims are pending your verification pass.
