This is a bigger task than you might think, A tutorial would be a basic how to for putting together a discretizer package. Really we are waiting for someone to use this as a case study then put up a write up of that, but you could try building a toy clone of MethodOfLines.jl, see here for the principle that it works on: https://docs.sciml.ai/MethodOfLines/stable/howitworks/

This is a big job, so you may want to tackle something else. This is likely something I'm going to have to do but I am willing to support if you are keen.
