A priori, this has been fixed in https://github.com/IDMEFv2/python-idmefv2 which is a replacement for this current repo.
BTW this current repository is no longer maintained and I have no rights on it. You should switch to https://github.com/IDMEFv2/python-idmefv2 which is up to date and provides packages on PyPI.
