Tone mapping is tricky, but I noticed that the preview shows the correct colors and once the final GIF is generated, it comes out washed out due to no tone mapping. I notice the preview is an mp4, which is often good enough for sharing on most social media sites and sometimes preferred.
Maybe an option to keep that as the final clip/GIF in the gallery would be cool, although it's easy enough to save the mp4 file from the preview window.
