Unblock checkbox doesn't even appear in folders, but game still crashes

I've looked into the FAQ for this mod because it has been making my game crash before it even properly loads, and it said to check the unblock checkbox in the mod's dll .file Problem is, the checkbox isn't even there!!! What can i do to remedy this predicament?
