I would love an additional mark all as read option that includes starred articles. (I wish I could implement and contribute myself easily, I don't think you want me vibecoding this to submit.)

I will skim a feed or a set of feeds (especially something high volume, like a news agency or hackers news) and spot things I know I want to revisit and read, but I want to cut my losses and disregard everything else in one fell swoop before I get overwhelmed by unreads.

I know I can find what I starred in my starred list, but I also use that to find starred things I have read.
