First, could you let us know whether Open Composer was recently updated on your system?

If it was updated recently, the browser may still be using stale cached JavaScript files. In that case, please try clearing the browser cache and then check whether the problem still occurs. After clearing the cache, please submit a new test job from Open Composer and check whether the History page updates its status correctly

Also, regarding the JavaScript error that appears when clicking a Job ID on the History page: it may be related to #30.

Could you clarify which Job ID you clicked when the modal error occurred?

• Was it a Job ID whose status is still shown as Queued?
• Or was it a Job ID whose status is already shown as Completed?

Firstly, apologies for the minimal amount of detail I gave. I was in a rush and wanted to report something before I forgot.

Also, thanks so much for this app. It is a great solution to have!

Open Composor is version 2.0.0. I have just downloaded into my developer session on our Open Ondemand platform.

I think I found the problem. It might be because you can not perform sacct on queued jobs. So when you click on it it doesnt know what to do because it doesnt get a response from sacct: For example:

This modal error occurs when you click on a Queued job's jobid

Completed jobs works fine

Thank you very much for using Open Composer.
Just to confirm: was 6396119_100 submitted from Open Composer as part of a Slurm array job?

If so, it seems that something unexpected happened on the Slurm side. This behavior was not anticipated in Open Composer.
As a mitigation on the Open Composer side, I changed the History page behavior so that if the job information for a given Job ID cannot be retrieved, the Job ID will be displayed as plain text instead of a link. This is not a fundamental fix, but it should help avoid the broken-link behavior.

You can apply this change with:

$ cd <Your Open OnDemand Developer Directory>/OpenComposer
$ git pull
