Not working proplerly

So, I installed 1.0.10, I was going through the onboarding, I was giving the permissions, I press "Quit & Reopen", and the tuck menu-bar icon disappeared, for a second then came back, then i tried opening the app, but it did nothing, but the menu-bar icon was still there. I pressed the menu-bar icon, but nothing happened, i opened the app, nothing happened. I killed it with commands, but it reopened again in like 2 secs. So i killed it, then quickly deleted the app, then the menu-bar icon didn't come back. Please don't make it auto-launch.

I don't know if this is because I'm running MacOS Golden Gate Beta 1, if it works on beta 2, please let me know, I want to try it out.

I am having a similar problem on Beta 2. This is probably the issue that all other tools of this nature are having with Golden Gate. The only tool that I currently see working is BetterTouchTool but its approach is not the same as Tuck or Bartender or Ice/Thaw etc...

Thanks for the report, and sorry for the bad experience here.

For now, if Tuck keeps coming back or you want to remove it completely:

1. Open System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions.
2. Find Tuck and remove/disable it from login items.
3. Quit Tuck if possible from the menu bar icon.
4. If it does not respond, open Activity Monitor, search for Tuck, and force quit it.
5. Delete Tuck.app from /Applications.

If needed, you can also stop it from Terminal:

pkill -x Tuck
rm -rf /Applications/Tuck.app

About macOS Golden Gate: Apple appears to have made new changes to the menu bar/status item behavior in Golden Gate, and those changes currently break Tuck’s existing approach. Because Golden Gate is still in beta and these system internals may continue changing between beta releases, we are only doing experimental investigation for now.

We do not plan to ship an official Golden Gate-compatible Tuck release until Apple ships the final public version of macOS Golden Gate. A real compatibility release should come after the final OS behavior is stable.

I’ll keep this issue open as the tracking issue for Golden Gate compatibility.
