Create a dedicated page (and/or section) for the PyCon Ireland 2026 financial assistance programme, so that attendees who cannot afford the conference can apply for support.
Motivation
Many community conferences offer grants to make attendance more accessible, particularly for students, early-career developers, and people from under-represented groups. Without a visible page, eligible attendees may not apply — or not know the programme exists.
Scope
Decide whether a grant programme will run in 2026 (confirm with organisers)
Create content/grants/_index.md (or similar path, e.g. /financial-assistance/)
Page content should cover:
Who is eligible (students, under-represented groups, etc.)
What is covered (ticket, travel, accommodation, or a combination)
How to apply (form link, email, or Tito integration)
Application deadline
Selection criteria / process
Link the page from the navigation or the CFP/Tickets pages
