What happened?
For pretendo to work, external FIRMs and modules as well as game patching need to be enabled and the save file I had on acnl was started without these two settings enabled (because I had no idea that they weren’t enabled). I assume that that’s why when I enable them, my acnl save file gets corrupted. When I disable them again, the save goes back to normal.
I’ve tried using checkpoint to backup the save data before enabling the 2 luma options and then restoring the save after the options had been enabled but the save was still corrupted.
What did you expect to happen?
I expected to enable those two luma settings and for pretendo to work as well as for my acnl save file to be uncorrupted, allowing me to use acnl’s online features on that save.
If the corruption still happened to the original save, I expected for the backup I had done on checkpoint to at least remain uncorrupted. :,)
Steps to reproduce?
- Start an acnl save file without external FIRMs and modules as well as game patching settings enabled on luma
- Enable those settings for pretendo to work
- Enter acnl to see that the save is corrupted
- Disable those settings
- Reenter acnl to see that the save is now fine
