Hey Overture Maps community! 👋 I'm Alex Iannicelli, and I'm so excited to be here with you all. I'm a software engineer, and while my background is in things like storage protocols and cloud infrastructure, I've also found a real passion for GIS. I genuinely love tackling complex problems, diving into data organization, and being part of the amazing open source community. Here at Overture, I'm focused on making sure our data is top-notch, working on data validation, release pipelines, and the backend processes that help us ingest and standardize all that amazing Overture data. If you have any questions about our pipelines or the data itself, please don't hesitate to ask! I'm always happy to help. Feel free to reach out anytime at alex@overturemaps.org, and you can also find me on OpenStreetMap as OldManCelli. Looking forward to connecting with you all! |

Marc Prioleau (Marc Prioleau (@mprioleau)) here. I have been the executive director of Overture Maps since May 2023 and worked with the team to start the project for 18 month before that. My background has been on the product management and business development side of the maps business with companies like Facebook/Meta, Mapbox, Uber, Cloudmade (extra points if you remember that one) and deCarta. Before that I worked on the location side of the business with SiRF Technologies and Trimble. It have been interesting to see the geospatial industry evolve from a specialized niche to a universal utility. |

Ahoy, mateys! I'm Vic, a principal software engineer with Amazon Web Services. I'm an OG Overturer (?), having been "contributing" since the early days when we were just a press release and an intrepid band of confused geo nerds. I help out around Overture by chairing the Schema Task Force, which is the group tries to model the wondrous mystery of the real world into some kind of reasonable abstractions so we can have a working schema for our monthly data releases. You can check out our work in the schema repo and on the schema reference page at In my day job, I build highly-available web services for an AWS service called Amazon Location Service. My other main pursuits include entertaining Marc Prioleau (@mprioleau) with thorny questions, raising a tiny family, and playing the guitar very, very badly. The best way to get in touch with me these days is by posting an issue or a pull request to the schema repo. |

Howdy folks, I'm Larry, a Product Manager at Microsoft working on our Bing Places data team. Since I joined over 5 years ago I've been working on a variety of OSM and other open data projects at Microsoft. Before that I did research at Georgia Tech on technoligies and wearable computing for working dogs (think Search and Rescue or guide dogs) and Brain Computer Interfaces. In Overture I've worked on a variety of things including GERS, transportation-tf, and now I am helping out by chairing the Data Working group, trying to make sure we are effectively solving our most important data challenges. Please don't hesitate to reach out questions, comments, or concerns, I'm active on Overture's Slack. |

Hi all! I'm Adam, I just joined Overture as an intern this week! I'm thrilled to be here, and I'll be spending most of my time working on transportation and developer advocacy projects. The team has been incredibly welcoming and helpful so far! I recently graduated with a bachelor's in physics, during which I worked with high-energy particle physics data & hardware. I love all things interdisciplinary, but my strengths probably lie in networks and data visualization. To get an idea of what my hobby / passion projects look like, feel free to check out my website! You can reach me at adam@overturemaps.org, or maybe I'll contact you first -- I have a lot to learn! :-] |

Hi all, I'm Matt Travis and I'm a data engineer for Addresscloud. I'm also British and as such don't like talking about myself too much so this doesn't come easy. I've been working with Geospatial data (both open and closed) for around 20 years in both the government and the private sectors in the UK. Since joining Addresscloud I've been getting to know more about global data sources and the world of insurance. I'm also a big open source software enthusiast and help promote this through my work with OSGEO:UK chapter and FOSS4G events. Overture came along at just the right time for us and it's been a privilege to be involved and see it grow. I continue to be amazed by the work you all do and happy to help where I can 🤗 |

Hi! I'm Dana Bauer. I'm a geographer by training and work as a product manager with the Overture Maps Foundation (OMF). My biggest goal in this role is to create a great experience for the developers, mapmakers, and data wranglers who are building things with Overture data.
I focus on documentation, developer tools, and user research, and I collaborate closely with Overture's engineering teams to shape our data, schema, and GERS. I also partner with Overture's marketing team to share the story of Overture with the world.
I love playing with my dog, taking epic walks in cities and in the woods, sharing movie and book recommendations, and making stickers for Overture. Reach out! I'm at dana@overturemaps.org.
