~ is an alias for system/options/data not system/options/home

Hi Oldes,

Thanks for a great release 3.21.0. While playing with request-file and request-dir I have noticed that ~ does not resolve to the user home directory as is usual in shells.

Is this intentional?

It was intentional. There was a split between os' home (which is now system/options/home) and REBOL_HOME, which is now system/options/data.

I'd say there's a reasonable case for having two such shortcuts with ~ pointing to home (more conventional). Perhaps the data shortcut could be ~~?

I agree. I guess most users expect the ~ shortcut to point to user home.
