The latest release requires GTK ≥ 4.20.0, which isn’t available in nixpkgs yet. There’s already a PR for it (#444650), but it’s still waiting to be merged.

Afaik, this should be satisfied now, since #440720 supersedes #444650 and has been merged into nixos-unstable branch
