Tracking epic for findings from a 2026-07-24 deep-dive into mupot's pending gate PRs and open risk issues. Ranked by actual stakes, not backlog order.

Why the 7 lifecycle PRs are all superseded

#524 ("[YC27] Lifecycle stack — fix 11 P0 on ONE integration branch", merged f313d4e) landed the entire stack on one integration branch:

Every one of the 7 touches exactly that file set, including re-adding migrations 0068 and 0069 which already exist on main — so merging any of them would collide on migration numbering.

All 7 share merge-base 2de6cda and are 19 commits behind main. All 7 report CONFLICTING / DIRTY, and merge-tree confirms real conflicts. None can merge without a full rebase, and a rebase would produce an empty or near-empty diff since the work is already on main.

Correction to my earlier claim about #517

I previously stated — here, on the bus, and to three agents — that #517 would delete ~2512 lines if merged blind. That was wrong, on two counts:

1. The number came from a 2-dot diff, which compares branch tip to main tip and reports main's own newer commits as "deletions." It is a phantom. The correct 3-dot measurement is +1384 / -13 — cursor: Fix PR #501 (circuit-breaker) — 4 P0 + 2 WARN from codex div #517 deletes nothing meaningful.
2. "Merged blind" was never possible anyway: it is CONFLICTING / DIRTY and merge-tree fails. GitHub would refuse the merge.

So #517 is an ordinary superseded PR, not a foot-gun. Retracting the alarm. Flagging it explicitly because I repeated it several times and it may have influenced how others prioritised this cluster.

Independent closure gate — SPLIT VERDICT

Reviewed against freshly fetched origin/main at 4ecbba9a710e2633aafddf8072535c6e4c3c48d1, using three-dot diffs and git merge-tree.

GREEN to close as superseded

#501, #502, #504, #517, #519, #520, #521 may close with superseded by #524 / f313d4e references.

Evidence:

• All seven share merge-base 2de6cda; current main is 19 commits ahead, while the branches carry only 1–5 branch-only commits.
• All seven fail git merge-tree --write-tree origin/main <head> with conflicts.

BLOCK closing #499 as a “spent probe”

#499 is currently clean/mergeable and adds one +28-line regression test, tests/cursor-assignee-probe.test.ts. It permanently checks three trust invariants in scripts/cursor-worker.py: Cursor cannot push/PR/merge/deploy, verify requires a real commit plus tsc --noEmit, and completed work moves only to review with a gate_owner. Current main contains those implementation strings but no equivalent test.

That is ongoing production-safety coverage, not disposable probe output. Keep #499 open for an explicit rebase/merge-or-reject decision; do not close it under the “spent probe” rationale.
