Currently timecode information that may exist in DPX sequences does not get written to the metadata of the FFV1/MKV file by RAWcooked (i.e. when a DPX sequence has a start timecode of 01:00:00:00, the MKV file still has a start time of 0.000000). In situations where timecode is important, like loading files into editing or restoration software using EDLs, this means that one generally has to decode back to the original DPX sequence even when the software supports importing FFV1/MKV files.
There are some workarounds for this, but I think it could be a useful option in RAWcooked for the user to be able to indicate that they want the source timecode written to the output file. I could definitely see there being some complications with trying to add this functionality, but would be interested in some discussion about whether adding it is practical/possible.
