Feature Name: Race Changer
Feature Information: Allow a player to change race every 90 days (allow this to be customized in the website setup), use ffxi dats if possible to show the player what there character will look like before they complete the race change. Make this a gilsink if possible, 1,000,000 gil to change your race. The day timeframe is to prevent a player from changing there race every job/event they go to or want to run.

note: we can afford to be less restrictive on hair/size/head changes than we are on race changes.

As a means of discussion, I was thinking something along the lines of instead of time restrictions, setting high requirements of gil. I am trying to avoid adding new tables to the database and making this purely use what is already available within DSP.

For example:

• Race Change = 50,000,000 gil (major change as stats and other things matter on your race.)
• Hair Change = 5,000,000 gil (less intensive non-important change.)
• Size Change = 1,000,000 gil (less intensive non-important change.)

No time limits would be set on a delay or anything at this point. It would just be something not easy to obtain / afford and be more or less a speciality thing for those that work for it.

Gil amounts can be discussed of course those are just examples.

I would rather toss a variable into char_vars containing a datestamp.

Excellent, didn't think to use that table. That'd work perfectly. Any suggestion on a var name for these types of things?

Something simple as:

• Race - website_racechange_timestamp
• Face - website_facechange_timestamp

And so on. Prefixed with website_ always so its easy to determine the origin etc.

Theres a length limitation in DSP but since we're not using these in game we can use whatever the table itself accepts maybe?

website_last_rc_ts would be 18 chars, if we need shorter

In game you get problems in you have a varname longer than 20 chars or use symbols other than underscores.
