xi_world, xi_search and xi_map help!

I followed the instructions and got to the point after visual studios, creating the xi_files, and when I start xi_world, xi_search and xi_map it crashes right away. Does it have something to do with me not changing anything in the settings folder of the .lua's? I only changed network.lua and added my password. I was also directed to looking at the logs, but I don't know anything haha.

You've not correctly set up the database - go through the setup guide again very carefully and make sure your db gets correctly configured, and that you're connecting to that database

For MariaDB setup, should I have "Enable access from remote machines for 'root' user checked? I also realized that last setup for MariaDB, I didn't have UTF8 checked. So that might have been my issue. When I did the setup, I watched the setup video on youtube.

Got it to work and even was able to login on my own server. Now just need to figure out how to get others to connect xD. I have retail installed and just using xiloader.
