If you having others join your server then it needs to be the Public IP. If your Public IP does change you will have to update the DB. You can use like Open server to public - External IP |

Makes sense! Thanks for the heads up, I do have a no-ip configured too but since on the DB needs to be the numbers, will not make a difference hahaha! |

I have a solution for you if you are on Linux, as I'm in a similar 'boat'.. I don't have a static IP but it doesn't change often. you can add that script to your /etc/cron.hourly folder with the correct permissions, and be worry-free; you can change the timescale if you want by using crontab or a different cron folder. |

I've tried using a domain/dns but it seems it does not work, I just need to update this everytime my external IP changes?
