Feature Reduction

Reduce the feature number to (hopefully) improve overfitting

Based on the data exploration (coming soon!) I recommend to experiment with the follwoing reductions:

• Reduce following:
  • station_max_temp_c
  • reanalysis_dew_point_temp_k
  • reanalysis_specific_humidity_g_per_kg
  • station_avg_temp_c
  • reanalysis_max_air_temp_k
  • reanalysis_air_temp_k
  • reanalysis_avg_temp_k
  • reanalysis_min_air_temp_k
  • station_min_temp_c

to the mean of station average and reanalysis average remove the rest. Keep in mind that one is celsius and the other kelvin!

• reduce to one north and one south forest

Additionally: reduce precipitation_amt_mm and reanalysis_sat_precip_amt_mm to the average of the two
