PW 5th gen experimental browser won't load winterbreak2 page

I'm trying to jailbreak my boyfriend's old PW 5th gen. It is deregistered, so I'm stuck using winterbreak2, but the experimental browser won't load anything except for the Google homepage.

When I try to go to an address through the address bar, I get the "there was a problem loading this page" screen. If I try to use Google, I get a 403 error that says my client does not have permission to get the URL from this server.

Any way I can fix this?

Your question is about winterbreak2, but it is posted in the WinterBreak repository. I think there is a separate repo for winterbreak2.

But as it happens, I believe that for a PW 5th gen, it is in fact winterbreak that you need. I have the same kindle and I was trying to use winterbreak2 and getting the error you describe. When I tried winterbreak, I was able to get it to work. You will probably have to register your kindle before you start.
