Are the PCB schematics available? I'm interested in exploring the possibility of building this project with an ESP32 and would like to see the schematics or the PCB design, not just the Gerber files.

@alecdoconnor as an open-source developer, I can guarantee that this project is open source and completely free as freedom.
if you can't buy your hardware from a manufacture like JLPCB or PCBWAY please take a look into the fork from this OpenSource project. https://github.com/hqnicolas/BABOT
there is a hardware design to be made by hand with cooper and salt.
