Almost in all cases when generating g-code from a halftone with waves pattern (iso. straight lines) the g-code output contains several areas where curves are replaced with straight lines. This is not visible in preview, only in g-code, and also hampering the effect in hardware: neighbouring lines connect with each other ruining the effect.
