steps to reproduce :
suppose you are 'a'.
a- >x
a->y
in client app of x, open y's convo.

step2 : On sending message to x person, you will notice that chat box of y person is also updated.

Where are you storing the selectedUser state? Context, Redux, local state?

Will the ChatBox component render based on selectedUser only?

Is the messageList or messages state stored separately for each user?

i figured out the issue, it was due to retrieving all the conversation between two users but sending it to all user's without checking receiver, what i did is i first checked the conversationId before sending conversation to the users, so now i check both sender and receiver from conversationId and only sends data to that receiver.

i tried to run the client with npm run dev but didn't work i also tried npm run and it says 'react-scripts' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

Did you installed the required packages in client and server?
