'create subset' button is hidden both in gallery and MD mode If we use showj with mode set to gallery on init

IMHO, 'Create subset' button should be hidden when showj is in gallery view and showed up otherwise. It should toggle based on the selected mode not the initial mode. Currently, 'Create subset' is available only when the initial mode is metadata (MD)
