Issue building a code on Telegraf 1.34

Hi,

I am trying to build the Telegraf with the Huawei plugins. I know the recommended version of Telegraf is 1.20. Is there any way that the code can be updated to work with the version 1.34?

I am experiencing errors regarding the telegraf/plugins/parsers/registry.go script. For example, the NewLogger and some other functions are no longer available in newer versions of Telegraf.

This plugin only works with telegraf1.20, not later than this version.

Do you mean the gNMI plugin that is built into Telegraf itself? If so, do I need to integrate the parsers from this repository manually, or does it work out of the box?

If you're referring to the dial-in plugin provided within this repository, what changes are needed to make it compatible with Telegraf 1.34? I'm not very familiar with the Go language, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

yes the built-in gNMI Plugin works. no changes needed.

(Edited) I’ve set up Telegraf 1.34.2 and configured the gnmi input plugin with a subscription, but I’m having trouble reading from the device. Could this be related to the hardware?

The device is running:

VRP (R) software, Version 8.180 (NE40E V800R010...)

Previously, I was able to get telemetry working using Telegraf 1.20 and the plugins from this repository, along with different proto files (since the ones listed here are for a newer software version) and changing the specific line in huawei_grpc_gpb/parser.go to protoPath:=telem_header.GetSensorPath().

Telegraf output for gNMI (TLS is not configured):
[inputs.gnmi] Error in plugin: aborted gNMI subscription: rpc error: code = Unavailable desc = error reading from server: read tcp telegraf-ip:33774->device-ip:50052: read: connection reset by peer

Hi. I have tried some variations with origin and path, none of which worked. I tried to change the encoding as well. I cannot remember all combinations I have tried. The last try was this:

"origin" wont work on huawei try:
