Hold down left and drag a square over a bunch of connection so you can combine them all (you can uncombine later if you want)
On second thought maybe a square is a bad idea and a lasso / a hold shift and anything your mouse crosses over is highlighted option would be better
Grouped nodes should afterwards appear as one node with a drop down arrow
What I am not suggesting here is grouping in the sense of highlighting them temporarily and having whatever you do affect all of them, I will make another issue for that
