Stone sign post after placing and breaking doesn't stack, and change the name to sandstone sign post. fabric 1.21.10

like in title. i just installed signpost mod, and after placing stone variant and breaking it it doesnt stack and change the name and tag to sandstone sign post. i tried the same with oak variant and it breaks normally. the icon change to post without sign.
and when placing again it doesnt show up the edit window.

Thank you for reporting this. I found the cause of the name / block type change and was able to fix it.

Regarding the fact that the icon changed and that the edit window doesn't show up when placed: This indicates that the block configuration was saved to the item stack. In that case, the item is rendered with the stored configuration and does not stack with "unconfigured" post items.
Did you use an item with Silk Touch to break the block? If so, that is actually intended. It can be used to move a post without having to re-attach and configure all the signs. Which makes it pretty useless when the block you broke didn't have any signs attached 😅
I guess this could be communicated better, I see how it may be confusing if you don't know it.
