[Bug]: My whole password list disappeared

Bug description

I went to export my passwords and after I selected a destination directory, it told me "permission denied". When i went back and opened my password section within the app, all of my passwords were gone.

Expected outcome

I expected my passwords to still be there regardless of if I tried to do a an export

Good morning @NoviceCPU ! Thank you so much for reporting this, I can confirm and replicate this on my end. I apologise gravely for this, and will release a hotfix as soon as I can over the weekends.

To restore your data, try to locate any backups of your account. If you have a Passy instance on another device, do not use the export feature there.

Use the "Backup & Restore" feature instead, it is still functional from previous release. Backup your account from there, delete the corrupted account, create it again, then restore the data from settings. Although I can not help you with restoring your data any further, I hope you find a resolution.

This bug was most likely introuced by the file IO refactor in the last release. The release checklist will be updated to include tests for the "Export & Import" feature to ensure this never happens again.
