Python 2 Sunset

The Python community will sunset Python 2 on January 1, 2020, and are encouraging all developers to upgrade to Python 3 as soon as they can. In recognition that customers may need more time to migrate from Python 2 to Python 3, Google Cloud customers will be able to run Python 2 apps and use existing Python 2 client libraries after January 1, 2020.

thanks for this - I've been in denial about it but will see what it'll take to migrate to Python3. Maybe it will just work!! Ok, unlikely. But probably not terrible...

Ew. Webapp2 is not supported under python3. So...need to convert the whole thing to django or something.

I think the API is the least of it. Well, I've been thinking about how to get off of google cloud for a while - maybe this is the "opportunity." It will take a while, though.
