editconflict with myself after using 2017 wikitext editor

After the results edit, I used spihelper to tag and block. However, the closing statement and the changing status edit did not happen because of an "editconflict" error.

I have encountered this problem multiple times, and I suspect it has to do with the way 2017 wikitext editor saves and reloads the page.
