how to use methods available in jquery-ui for a widget

Hi Gaurav,
               I am curious to know what is the best way to execute methods available in jquery-ui for a particular component like widget,enable,disable or option. For eg. I want to disable a button using jquery-ui "disable" method. How can i achieve it by creating addons like this ?
